Van Walleghem Old Reds. An extra nice young cock off the Old Red bloodline with silky feathers. These birds are excellent crosses for all strains adding distance, stamina and toughness. They excel at races over 300.


WPG-61-07 R C Bred strictly for stock primarily for the old CHAMP WIN-9824-58 Bloodline (**see below). Was a very late bred in '07 and did not pair up till late '08. Sent a couple of hens off of him to the US in '09 and one went on to breed a top long distance racer and winner in Utah. His sire WIN-14617-91 is bred off a son of Golden Pair WIN-6422-86 when mated to WIN-3570-81 who is off 1/2 bro/sis mating of CHAMP WIN-9824-58 who won 10 x 1ST from 400-600mls. 9824 in turn was son of 2424-48 also a winner of 10 x 1st himself, Omer’s foundation C (see below).


WPG-6111-16 R H Daughter of 1st Ace Long Distance and pre-potent breeder WPG-11826-01. He has bred well with 3 different hens, as a racer was always on top. As a yearling he had 7prizes incl. 4th 300. As a 2yr old he had his best season winning 9 prizes in 9 races incl. 2nd =1st 100, 2nd =1st 200, 2nd = 1st 300 (we had 3 birds on a drop in each of the those races), 3rd 400 and 12th 450. He has won 1st Ace Long Distance AND 2nd Ace Speed Bird. 11826 is a son of our Foundation 6415, who was a super racer winning a tough 500 in his last race and was a 2 x 1st Ace Long Distance Winner, he has also bred numerous top quality breeders and in addition to 11826 has bred 2 other 1st Ace Long Distance Winners and Short Distance Aces. He is the Sire, Grandsire and Great grandsire of most of our top racers and breeders. 6111 is a full sister to: Hens that were flown only as yb’s 1634-10 good yb racer winning 6 prizes in 7 races incl. 4th = 1st 100, 7th = 1st 170, 13th 200, 15th 250 now in stock loft. 1713-10 steady yb racer but later round winning a prize from the 300 and 9th from the 375. 8918-11 a race winner in yb’s 2029-12 a race winner in yb’s. Cocks 1633-10 as yb was 2nd =1st 100, 6th =1st 125 and 11th =1st 170 then stopped. As a yearling had 7przs incl. 3rd =1st 300 and 23rd 300. As a 2yr old had 5 przs incl. 1st 400 arriving with his brother 1792-10 taking 1st and 2nd (56 minutes ahead) and in a 300 again arrived with his yearling brother 8919 getting 4th while his brother took 3rd. 1792-10 a late rounder not raced as yb but was steady as a yearling and as a 2yr old won 6th 200, 8th 125 and 2nd 400 (see 1633). 8919-11 as a yb won 4przs in 5 races incl. 12th=1st 125. As yearling won another 4 przs incl. 3rd 300, 20th 300, 7th 300 and was 3rd Ace Yearling and 5th Ace Middle Distance Ace. In 2013, he was 1st 400, 2nd 400 = 1st, (arrived with a loft mate 22 minutes ahead) winning 1st Ace Long Distance and 4th Ace Overall. To win Ace Overall you have to submit your best 6 prizes from short to long and must include races 2 races over 250 and a 400. He also won 1st Ace Overall Division 6 and 4th Ace Overall Long Distance in the prestigious Racing Pigeon Digest Ace Awards 40760-14 won 2przs as young bird including 6th 235. As yearling won 6 prizes including 4th at 95, 7th =1st at 200, 1st at 300 and was 10th Short Distance Ace, 10th Middle Distance Ace, 7th Ace Yearling. As a 2yr old had a rough start but still won 5 prizes including 5th =1st at 125, 5th =1st at 200, 3rd at 400, 6th at 500 and was 2nd Ace Long Distance Overall, 4th Long Distance Ace **CHAMP WIN-9824-58 was a champion flyer and breeder who won 10 x 1st from 400-600mls. His sire was the equally impressive Foundation C 2424-48 Red Cock who was 7 x 1st 400, 10 x 1st, 2nd or 3rd at 500 and 1st 600 on the day flying 14hrs on the wing. His dam was Foundation D 661-56 Red Check Hen, a daughter of Omer’s Foundation G 857-35. Mealy Cock who was the sensation of his time-for five years in a row 200-500 miles he was on top practically every week, became a poor trapper. But still won 20 x 1st. At the age of 7 in his last race at 400 he and his daughter arrived together taking 1st and 2nd, he was then retired to stock
