Lot 10A. WPG 18039-18 Red W/F C
|
Description |
Late bred straight out of the Widowhood loft. Every year
we let the widowers go down on eggs after the season. This year we
decided to let this pair hatch out as the sire is a remarkable racer that
is also down from a long line of Ace pigeons on the sire line. We were
hoping to hatch out a hen to keep but the nest contained two cocks.
They were hatched out in mid August so they may not completely
moult out this year but will be ready to breed next season. A good
chance to get a well bred youngster off a super young racer bred at he
height of form. We have had great success with birds bred this way
that have gone on to be great breeders. Check out the pedigree and
follow the sires line on the top side, coupled with the dam’s lines.
6099 has already shown that he carries the genes of his great
ancestors (see below) combining both lines we intersperse together
to breed the Long Distance winners and Ace Birds. |

Sire |
WPG 6099-16
A fantastic racer and 2 x 1st place winner with a performance pedigree
to match. 6099 as a young bird was my first pick bird 3 weeks in a row
which is rare for a young cock. He ended the youngbird season wining
a 1st and 4 przs, then was stopped to finish moulting. As a yearling he
picked up right where he left off and won 5 prizes in 7 races including
5th at 250, 6th at 250, 5th at 250, 10th at 125 and 11th at 235, was 1st
Ace Yearling and 1st Ace Middle Distance. His nestmate WPG 6100-
16 was equally as good winning 5 prizes as well including 4th at 250
and 2nd =1st at 250, 2nd Ace Yearling and 2nd Ace Middle Distance.
6099 As a 2 year old continued on, winning another 5 top prizes in 6
races. 6th = 1st at 125, 1st at 235, 8th = 1st at 250 and in the last race
of the season that was to be the 400 the birds were brought back to
300 as the weather was not very good (showers, strong 45km/h head
winds,) he finished 3rd arriving with a loft mate that took second, only 8
day birds. He ended up winning, 1st Longer Middle Distance Ace, 2nd
Ace Overall, 2nd Shorter Long Distance Ace, 4th Middle Ace. An
incredible season. Will still be widowhood team in 2019.
6099’s sire is WPG 40760-14 likely our next star breeder. As he has
not only bred 6099 and 6100 but WPG 7723-17, who was 4th place in
the 2017 Empire Classic Main Race. As a racer 40760 won 10th Short
Distance Ace, 10th Middle Distance Ace, 7th Ace Yearling. As a 2yr
old had a rough start but still won 5 prizes including 5th =1st at 125,
5th =1st at 200, 3rd at 400, 6th at 500 and was 2nd Ace Overall and
4th Long Distance Ace. 40760 is the son of our current top breeder
WPG 11826-01 a 1st Ace Long Distance winner and sire of our best
long distance racers 7 outright winners, several 1st and 2nd Ace Long
distance winners, etc.and grandson of “6415 Ace Pigeon" a two time
1st Ace Long Distance winner and SUPER breeder who bred 3
separate 1st Ace Long Distance winners.
6099’s dam WPG 13797-13 only flew as a youngbird but won 7 prizes
in 7 races, her sire WPG 8924-11 (off of 2475 & 33457 below) was a
race winner from a great line and her dam WPG 2078-12 was 2nd =
1st at 375 miles 9 minutes out in front as a yb and full sister to 4
separate 1st place winners, 2 different 1st Ace Yearlings a 1st Ace
Middle Distance bird, a 2nd Ace Middle bird, a 2nd Ace Long Distance
bird and a 2nd Ace Overall bird. A great reliable line of racers.
